'Iron Sharpens Iron' is a business group meeting aimed at providing real support fo small business owners. The primary focus of the group is that of business growth and improvement.

How it works
Up to 12 businesses (all non-competing) will meet together in a combination of boardroom group meetings and one-to-one sessions every other month in a similar geographical area with the aim of working 'on' their business in a knowledge- based environment. Each business represented is expected to participate for a minimum of 12 months in order to gain maximum benefit. This can be renewed at the end of the period if required.

The exact make up of every group is carefully selected to maximise benefit for each member and a profile booklet of each business will be circulated to participants prior to the first meeting as background information. Iron Sharpens Iron is a confidential group meeting of like-minded people.

Group Meeting Agenda
Each meeting will take place in a boardroom setting and will have an experienced chairperson facilitating the proceedings. The agenda for each month is as follows:
  1. Introduction and any business from previous meeting
  2. Topical/relevant business presentation followed by questions and answers (topics agreed in advance by participants)
  3. Two business presentations by participants to the group and subsequent question and answer session (with exception of first meeting)
  4. Growth strategies/business improvement initiative discussion
  5. Open issues debate (opportunity for each member to bring real issues affecting them to the group for counsel
  6. Target objectives (personal) to be worked on until next meeting
  7. Refreshments
